“It means you are free.”
“Does that mean,” she said, “that I
can say whatever I want to say?”
The gentleman said, “Yes my dear,
you can say whatever you want to say.”
“Does that mean,” she said, “that I
can be whatever I want to be?”
He said, “Yes, you can be whatever
you want to be.”
“Does that mean that I can go
wherever I want to go?”
He said, “Yes, you can go wherever
you want to go.”
The girl, with
tears streaming down her face, said, “Then I will go with
you.”
Either a gift is freely given, or it
is not.
And salvation is a free gift of God,
given to whoever will accept it.
Rom 6:23b “… the
free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Whoever believes in Him
receives true and total freedom!
They receive immediate adoption as
sons!
They are made members of God’s Royal
Family.
Joh 1:12 “But as
many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become
children of God, to those who believe in His name.”
How? Because God has chosen to set
us free, totally free.
And what we do after that is up to
us.
Who we follow is freely and totally
our choice, but God is hoping we follow Him.
Christ purchased your FREEDOM.
He has given Himself as the ransom
price for your sins.
And just like
the slave girl in our story, once you trust in Him as your
Savior, you can now say what you want to say, be what you
want to be, and go where you want to go.
You are totally free from the debt of
sin that you owed God!
You will live forever in heaven if
you have trusted in Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
You have been given true freedom.
You have wholly been set free, from both sin and death.
So now what?
What is
the desire of the great and generous Master who has purchased
your freedom?
THAT YOU LEARN ABOUT HIM…. 1
Tim 2:3-6
This
is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who
desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the
truth.
For
there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the
man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all,
the testimony given at the proper time.
God hopes that you CHOOSE FROM YOUR
FREEDOM to follow Him.
As the slave girl said when she
understood she was set free: “Then I will follow YOU.”
What will you do with the grace you
have been shown?
Eph 2:8-9 “For
by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves, it is a gift of God; not as a result of works, that
no one should boast.”
Acts 16:31 “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved.”
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His uniquely
born Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall never perish, but
has eternal life.”
John 3:36
"He who believes in the
Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not
see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."
Believe in Christ! Accept the free gift of eternal life that
God is offering you!
Please take a moment now to examine yourself before God, and
tell Him you are trusting in His Son as your Lord and Savior.
It is only then that you will be set
free.
If you have believed in Him, you have
been given true freedom. You are totally set free, and can do
what you wish.
God loves you
that much, so He has done that much for you.
If you want to now go forward, and
learn of your giving Master, you will find His instructions in
His love letters to you, the Bible.
The Bible is the Word from God, and
He has a whole plan and purpose for your life.
But will you choose to follow Him and
learn from Him?
John 1:1
In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14
And the Word became
flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the
only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Jesus Christ is the
Lord God in the flesh, and the Bible is His Word, the very
thinking of God.
1 Cor 2:16
For WHO HAS
KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we
have the mind of Christ.
It is the Word of God
that will give you answers, that will teach you how to think
like God, and that will totally set you free!
Heb 4:12-13
For the word of
God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword,
and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both
joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions
of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight,
but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with
whom we have to do.
In John 8:31-36 Jesus
said:
" If you
continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and
you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
They answered Him, " We are Abraham's descendants and have never
yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, 'You will
become free'?"
Jesus answered
them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is
the slave of sin. " The slave does not remain in the house
forever; the son does remain forever. "So if the Son makes you
free, you will be free indeed.
The Son has made
you free indeed, you have been given true freedom, and now
He wants us to experience that freedom by obeying vs. 31, if you continue in
His Word, then you will know the truth, and the truth will make
you free.
Seek for Him and you
will not be disappointed. Search for Him with all your heart,
study His Word, and all things will be added to your account!
Jesus also promised:
Luke 12:31-32
"But seek His
kingdom, and these things will be added to you. Do not be
afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give
you the kingdom.
Matt 6:33
"But seek first
His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be
added to you.
He is a God of love
and freedom!
And He wants you to
know and experience the freedom that He has paid for with His
own blood.
Acts 20:28-29
Be on guard for
yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit
has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He
purchased with His own blood.
The choice is yours.
The Master has great hopes and plans for you.
Will you choose as the
slave girl did, when she was set free?
She loved him, because
He first loved her.
And so God the Father
has first loved us, and chose to sacrifice His only Son on the
altar, so that we would NEVER perish, but have ETERNAL LIFE.
John 15:13
"Greater love
has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his
friends.
He said, “Yes, you can go wherever
you want to go.”
The girl, with tears streaming down
her face, said, “Then I will go with you.”
